Are you maximising the donations you have already made to our church by using GIFT AID?
Did you know that with effect from 1 April 2000, the Government has changed the rules relating to charitable giving to enable our church to recover tax at the rate of 28% on ALL donations made by people who pay UK Income or Capital Gains Tax.
This means that if you have been to a service at our church this year or simply called in when visiting the Estate and put money into either the collection plate or one of our donation boxes (not book sales), then if you are a UK Income or Capital Gains Taxpayer, you would have been entitled to make this a donation under Gift Aid. For every £1 you gave, the church would have received £1-28. At present, between £100 and £200 of collection money each week is not being registered for Gift Aid and about the same amount again is being put into our donations box but not registered for Gift Aid.
Luckily it is not too late to make this a Gift Aid donation. The Inland Revenue rules allow you to make this declaration electronically and retrospectively. And you can do this right now at this web page.
Simply download a Gift Aid form below and send it to the Church to be added to our claim for a tax repayment. This form cannot be used for future donations
