Standing beside the River Wharfe at Bolton Abbey, the Priory Church is one of the jewels of the north of England, and is a thriving Church of England parish church. The Church uses the Traditional Language version of Common Worship (based on the Book of Common Prayer) at all its main services. Visit the Prayer Book Society's Web Site.
The Church is open every day between 8 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. Throughout the summer, and at weekends and holidays during the winter, volunteers are available to act as guides to visitors and to answer any questions which they might have.
If you are a visitor to the area, we hope you may find time to come to see the Church and discover the peace and tranquillity which makes this ancient church so special. You are also very welcome to join us at any of our services, and to receive Holy Communion if you would normally do so at your own church.
