A BARBECUE FOR THE JUNIOR CHOIR, - 26 SEPTEMBER 2009
After the wedding on Saturday 26th September, a BBQ was held
in the Rectory garden for the Junior Choir, which the Senior Choir also attend
in support. It was a glorious sunny day and Sue and Michael Neale did a great
job cooking sausages and burgers. Rita Bennett gave the children soapy bubbles
to blow, which they all enjoyed.
Graham Toft has been training the Junor Choir and Paul Allen has been giving
his support at the rehearsals before weddings. The children have sung at baptisms
as well as at weddings, and it is great to see their enthusiasm.

THE SUMMER FETE, - 31 AUGUST 2009
Despite high winds and the ever lurking rain, which fortunately did not arrive, huge crowds turned out for this year's Priory Fete. The Fete was opened by the Revd James Turnbull and we are most gratefull to the Duke of Devonshire for once again allowing the Fete to be held on his lawn.

CHOIR’S FAREWELL TO MIKE MURPHY, - 13 FEBRUARY 2009
(Photos by Rosemary Murgatroyd)
On Friday 13th February, members of the Priory choir and their partners held a dinner at the Priest’s House, Bardon, in honour of Mike Murphy who is leaving his post as organist and choirmaster to move to pastures new. The dinner was a convivial occasion offering choir members a rare opportunity to meet socially, and so experiences were shared and tales told in a happy atmosphere reflected in the joyous décor of the restaurant that was already prepared for Valentine’s Day. Good company, good food and good surroundings were the order of the day!
The photos of the evening are presented below as part of a slideshow, which is controlled by the user. Select the image below to view the slideshow.
