Images of the Priory

The images shown below are essentially "timeless", - that is they are not associated with specific news items about the Priory.

The Priory Rectory

Eileen Walters, a former Church Warden of Canon George Moffat from his London days, sketched this pen & wash of the south side of the Priory Rectory while waiting to have lunch with George & Peta.

Snow Comes Early to the Priory (December 2010)

Exceptionally early snowfall and very cold temperatures was the feature of the weather this year, bringing much of the country to a standstill. At the same time, though, the wintry weather afforded some great pictorial opportunities. James Pearson photographed some wintry scenes near the Priory Church a week before Christmas.

To view these images, presented as a slide show, select the thumbnail image below.

An Aerial Photo of the Priory Church

An Aerial Photo of the Priory Church

Does anyone know who took this aerial photograph ?

This framed aerial photograph of the ruins has been hanging on the North Aisle wall of the Priory Church for many a long year. No one seems to know when it was taken or who took the photograph. It would have been taken from an aircraft and is perhaps pre-war or just after the 1939-1945 war. Can anyone give us more information?
