Paul Cooper, the Curator of the Infantry Heritage Centre at Catterick, has sent this message regarding the Centre;-

"The Infantry Heritage Centre at Catterick is a new venture set up as part of the Infantry Training Centre.

I am on the look out for items to be DISPLAYED. I am not going to hoard things in archives (exept documentaion and research) so people can be assured that if they donate items they will be on display.

We are not just looking for items that belonged to infantrymen, but any item that an infantryman would have owned or used will be useful.

I must emphasise that we are not a museum but a teaching tool to improve the soldiers of today by identifying lessons learned in history.

I am also looking to select volunteers to help in research, administration and organisation of the Infantry Heritage Centre. "

So, if you feel that you can help Paul, either by being a volunteer or by donating an item to the Infantry Heritage Centre, please contact Paul at
