The Advent Wine & Cheese Party, 29 November 2009
On a very wet and windy night, the Friends held their Advent Wine & Cheese Party. Despite the weather, the occasion was well attended and we thank all those who worked so hard to make the evening possible.

The Friends Summer Outing, 18 June 2009
This year the Friends decided to do something very different for their summer outing and on 18th June, 35 friends went on a boat trip on the River Ouse from York. This was followed by lunch at the Ship Inn before returning to York on what had been a delightful river cruise. The rain held off, although you will see from the photographs that there was a "keen wind." We ended our day in York by attending a superb evensong in the Minster which was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. Unfortunately, 8 friends had to "cry off" at the last moment due to ill health.

65 Friends of Bolton Priory attended the AGM in the Village Hall on Sunday 24th May. Andrew Hartley was elected to the committee and a presentation was made to Professor Geoff Roberts who retired as Editor of our Newsletter, after editing the newsletter for over 20 years and 65 editions. The chairman thanked him for all he had achieved over that time, both as Editor and for 10 years as Chairman of the Friends. The AGM was followed by a superb buffet lunch..
