The North Gare Beach is a great favourite for people who own dogs, and owners and their pets are to be found exercising on the beach at all times and in all weathers.

The paw mark of a very large dog in the wet, rippled, sand forms an irresistible image. Note the particles of sea coal that lie on the sand.
