An Impotent Roar of Rage

To me, the image presented represents the silent anger that most people feel towards the local environment, - symbolised by the two cooling towers. On the one hand, pollution is an ever-present aspect of life on Teesside, but on the other hand most people are dependant for their livelihood on the very industries that cause the pollution. So, in their own best interests, those who are dependant on industry know better than to complain too loudly, - but are silent in their anger.
